About
Hello there, thank you for visiting my blog, Mama Crane.
Learning from others
I have learned many things from other mothers and grandmothers while raising my children, and I continue to enjoy the opportunities to learn from others. Being a mom is not always an easy job, and reading blogs about other mother’s experiences can be a powerful way to find advice and solutions to apply with my own children so be sure and leave your comments. I would love to hear from you.
What is My Blog About
So what’s my blog about? Well, I’ve raised six children and am now a grandmother so it’s about wisdom I guess-my wisdom-the wisdom I’ve gained by just doing my BEST! I don’t have God-given writing talent, but then again, not many people do. Hopefully, you’ll learn something from Mama Crane’s blog.
How I Ended Up With Six Kids!
My husband and I came from large farm families and because of the emphasis placed on family we both didn’t want to waste any time in starting our own. In fact, our first child was born nine-and-a-half months after we were married and for the next twelve years we kept right on chugging! We had a baby every few years and ended up with six: two girls and four boys. Kids are a lot of work, but I think people who put off having children, or don’t have additional children so they can obtain more possessions are missing out. Here’s the way I look at possessions: they aren’t going to come visit me when I am old and lonely.
How am I a Business Woman and a Mother of Six?
How am I a mother of six and a business woman? Well, I had six children and THEN I became a business owner when my youngest child was 10 years old. I don’t think I could have done either one well if I would have tried to have had babies at the same time I was running a business.
Interests
I enjoy reading children’s literature, biographies, and religious content. I am also a Yoga lover, a pursuit at which I am definitely lousy, but I like it because it helps alleviate the arthritis pain in my back. I also receive satisfaction from the simplest pleasures like going for a walk or riding my recumbent bike, but my greatest joy is MY FAMILY.

Hi Mama Crane, I’m a mom of four little girls and I just launched my business (Jan. 1, 2010). You have a large following so I was wondering if you could help spread the word about my product? I design eco-friendly, thigh-high socks (NOT legwarmers) called Rock-a-Thigh Baby; I outsource the manufacturing here in the USA. This idea came to me 2 years ago after recognizing the need for a children’s sock that stays up and stays on, while providing full leg coverage. I’m hoping that the networking power of the Internet will help my business succeed. Thanks for your time. Blessings be! ~Jennifer, owner of Rock-a-Thigh Baby, LLC
Great idea. I’d be happy to pass the word along!
I wish you the best of luck with your new business venture!
